The Wheeling Family (Volumes 1 and 2) is chock full of stories of families who operated small neighborhood businesses as well as memories of growing up in the wonderful neighborhoods where those businesses served as social centers.

Great day at Words and Music -- Wheeling's fiercely independent book store. Many copies sold. Met a lot of nice people, including a gentleman from New Hampshire who (like me) loves to walk around Wheeling and look up. He bought five books! Thanks Paula and Alan.

We had a very nice setting at Waldenbooks and a very cordial reception. Many people stopped to flip through Wheeling Then and Now and comments were favorable.

Article on the Library Program

Here's a nice description of me "expounding" on the picture book: "Duffy delivered an entertaining account, by turns amusing and even death-defying..." Well said Linda. Although, I had to go old-school with a scan of the article as there's no link--why no link? I'll bet if I had a PhD there'd be a link! ;) Anyway, you can at least see the tie I had made. Now that's dedication. Some day I hope that tie will be in a Then & Now book.
